CHEER Explains: Talent Density

We’ve been posting a number of videos on our YouTube channel around various HR/Engagement terms, to help introduce you to them.
Now I’ll be uploading them to this very website. 

This time it’s TALENT DENSITY

Talent Density is the proportion of high performers in your business.

f you have 8 high performers and 2 low performers, talent density is 80%.

Ok – it’s a bit more detailed than that, you also look at potential, consider if they’re a new starter, look at different criteria to measure, ensure you have a competency framework and a non-bias approach to assessing talent..

But if you think of the principle of ‘improving talent density’ as something you measure rather than just ‘retention’, it means you’re focused on improving your work force, and keeping hold of the people that are RIGHT, not just ‘everyone’.
