It’s hard to ignore the conversation around AI. It’s moving faster than many of us can keep up with.

Often framed in the context of productivity and cost savings, AI is increasingly impacting the employee experience and what people are expecting from their employer.

What does this mean for your EVP?

In this version of our (Linkedin hosted) monthly EVP Newsletters, we looked at AI’s impact. Founder Joe Morrison gave his practical tips on what might be useful to do when communicating this impact through your EVP.

 

 

From Founder Joe:

“AI is really gathering a tonne of information from everywhere else apart from where it truly matters, from us. The people you can speak to, in person, live.

Because of this, my approach to delivering EVP avoids anonymous surveys and creates conversation. I use interactive sessions (whether onsite or online), to SPEAK to employees, understand what’s important, and what they need from work. AI just helps me process things quicker!

The single bit of advice connecting all of the categories and EVP is to demonstrate your intent, whether that’s fully embracing AI or if you are taking a stand against it.

You could choose to ignore it, but the reality is AI is here, it’s not going away, and the positives are it will enhance what we do and improve how we operate, with the negatives the impact it has on employment and some of the jobs that people have carried out disappearing, fast.

AI will change how we attract, engage, and retain people, however, it will NEVER change what people value: Purpose, Values, and being treated like a human being.
